It happened in Hartford County around 10:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 3 in Wethersfield.
According to Connecticut State Police, Taj Andre Beckford, of Bloomfield, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Route 5/15 just north of the on-ramp for Route 314 when he hit another motorcycle lying in the roadway, but not the driver identified as Jordan Barnes, age 20, of Newington.
The impact threw Beckford from his motorcycle and he landed in the roadway, state police said.
Beckford suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver, Barnes, was not injured.
This case remains under investigation.
